Artist in Residence

We are very pleased to have our Artist in Residence, Jevan Watkins Jones, with us for a second year. Working across the curriculum between art and science, Jevan has initiated three fantastic projects, and has lead the life drawing classes with the Sixth Form.

The Anatomy of a Playground, an ambitious 3 metre by 5 metre glazed tile mural by Year 7, can be seen in the Lower School. [Photograph by Douglas Atfield.]

The Photogram and Cell Site Year 10 projects are soon to be installed so keep your eye out for those!

Hey Mr Emery! It's Haz Willson here. I was just wondering if you knew the galleries we visited in Amsterdam which were by river with the huge bridge where all the crazy graffiti was? I'm visiting Amsterdam again in Jan and would love to go there again! Thanks!

Hi Haz, What are you up to now? The museum we went to was called the Stedelijk, but I'm pretty certain it's no longer at the same site. It was only a temporary site and I know it hasn't returned to it's original building yet. Take a look at the website. See you!

Okay, thanks! I'm at Nottingham Trent doing Fine Art. The first term was quite hard, you know what I'm like, I didn't get into the flow of everything. But I'm psyched to go back and get on with some crazy work. I'll try and pop in before Easter and see how Northgate's getting on these days!
